Our Mission
To raise the aspirations of the talented youth of Portsmouth and the surrounding areas to inspire them to fulfil ambitions of becoming doctors. The Trust aims to support youngsters in all aspects of their journey to successfully apply and enrol onto medical degrees across the country. In the years to come, qualified doctors who enrolled on our 'Aspiring Medics Programme' will return to the city to fill the shortage of doctors we have in the City of Portsmouth
Our Vision
Our vision is that young adults from Portsmouth qualify as doctors to help meet the needs of the shortage of doctors across the NHS both nationally and locally. We envision that many of the students who engage with our 'Aspiring Medics Programme’ return to the city in the years to come to meet the needs of the GP shortage in Portsmouth. The Friends of the Trust and students who were supported by the Trust will form an integrated network of colleagues who support each other
